N6 Marketing

Our #1 Hack to Making AI Not Artificial

As more people get their hands on it and play with it, more folks have been using AI as a replacement for their copywriters, photographers, marketing teams, you name it. Don’t get us wrong, AI is fascinating, and there are tons of opportunities for it to improve processes and so many different aspects of our lives. But at N6 Marketing, we think the key to utilizing AI successfully isn’t to take it as a shortcut, but instead to use it as a tool. We’ll let you in on our top tip to striking the balance between humans and AI.

Overshare with Your AI!

No one, not even AI, knows our clients better than we do. That isn’t to say we don’t run into road blocks. When we need a little assistance, it’s not as simple as asking ‘write me a social media caption’.

We want AI to have ALL THE info, or we’ll get a stale, generic response. The more details the better. In fact, there’s no such thing as telling your AI too much–aside from maybe your social security number. Be very specific with your requests; we tell the AI what our client does, what the goal is for this particular prompt, and their brand voice. For example:

N6 Marketing is an expert marketing agency, whose brand voice is fun, witty, charismatic, and relatable. Write an engaging caption for a blog about using AI as a tool and blending it with a human touch.

To put it simply, we use AI to give us sort of an outline–but we need the human element to fill in the rest and make our project feel more genuine and real. You don’t want your brand to lack humanity–after all, people connect with other people. Not computers.
